Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NamesWithLove (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit https://www.nameswithlove.com (the “Service”). By using our Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and profile photo via Clerk (our authentication provider).
- Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe shares with us a customer ID, last 4 digits, and subscription status.
- AI interactions: Prompts and preferences you submit to the Name Assistant and AI chat features.
- Photos: Images you upload for the baby face prediction feature. These are processed by AI and not permanently stored on our servers.
- User preferences: Names you save as favorites, filter preferences, and assistant answers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Device information: Device type, screen resolution, and language settings.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how users interact with our Service. GA4 uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data.
- Cookies: We use cookies for session management, authentication (via Clerk), and analytics. See Section 7 for details.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
If you connect a third-party account (such as Google for sign-in through Clerk), we receive information from that service as permitted by your authorization, such as your name, email address, and profile picture.
If you use TikTok integration features (such as sharing content to TikTok), TikTok may share information about your TikTok account with us, and we may share limited information with TikTok necessary to complete the integration. See Section 6 for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Personalize your experience (saved names, preferences, AI suggestions)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, subscription receipts)
- Send product updates and newsletters (you can opt out at any time)
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our features and content
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Photos you upload for the baby face feature are transmitted directly to our AI provider for processing and are not retained after the generation is complete.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We share data with trusted third parties that help us operate the Service — including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Google (AI processing and analytics), and fal.ai (image generation). These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for providing services to us.
- Social media platforms: When you voluntarily use social sharing features, we may share content or a link with platforms such as TikTok as directed by you. We share only what is necessary to complete the action.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NamesWithLove, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: If NamesWithLove is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
4. TikTok Integration
NamesWithLove offers TikTok integration features that allow you to share baby name content to TikTok. Here is how we handle your data in connection with TikTok:
- We use TikTok's official APIs in accordance with TikTok's Platform Policy and Terms of Service.
- When you authorize TikTok integration, TikTok may share with us basic profile information (username, profile photo) necessary to identify your account for sharing.
- We share with TikTok only the content you explicitly choose to post (e.g., a name card, image, or text), and metadata required by TikTok's API.
- We do not store your TikTok credentials. Authorization tokens are managed securely and used only to perform actions you request.
- TikTok's collection and use of your data through its platform is governed by TikTok's own Privacy Policy.
- You can revoke TikTok integration access at any time through your TikTok account settings or through your NamesWithLove account dashboard.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@nameswithlove.com and we will promptly delete it.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, restricted database access, and regular security reviews.
While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your account.
